Installing on Windows

Requirements

• Windows 10 or later
• Minecraft Java Edition

Installation Steps

1. Download CoralProxy

   Download the latest Windows installer for your system.

2. Run the Installer

   • Locate the downloaded CoralProxy Setup.exe file
   • Double-click to run the installer
   • You may see security warnings (see Troubleshooting section below)

3. Follow the Installation Wizard

   • Accept the license agreement
   • Choose your installation directory (default is recommended)
   • Click “Install” to begin the installation

4. Launch CoralProxy

   • Once installation is complete, launch CoralProxy from the Start Menu or desktop shortcut
   • The application will start and be ready to use

Troubleshooting

Windows SmartScreen Warning

Since CoralProxy is not signed with a Microsoft code signing certificate, Windows SmartScreen will show a warning when you try to run the installer. You may see messages like:

• “Windows protected your PC” - Windows SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting
• “This app might harm your device” - Warning from Microsoft Defender SmartScreen

This is normal for unsigned applications. To proceed with the installation:

1. Click “More info” on the SmartScreen warning
2. Click “Run anyway” to continue with the installation

CoralProxy is safe to use - the warning appears only because the application is not code-signed.

Windows Defender or Antivirus Blocking Installation

Some antivirus software may flag or block unsigned executables. If Windows Defender or your antivirus blocks the installation:

1. Temporarily disable your antivirus protection
2. Run the installer
3. Re-enable your antivirus protection after installation
4. Add CoralProxy to your antivirus exclusion list if needed
